On Jan. 27 at 7 pm in The Greene Space, composer Huang Ruo joins WQXR host David Garland for "Written on the Wind" -- an evening of conversation and premiere performances from New York and China-based composers that explore how place and tradition shape a composer’s style.
The evening includes music by New York composer/performers Min Xiao-Fen and Huang Ruo, Chen Xing-Ruo from Beijing, and Shen Ye from Shanghai, performed on traditional Chinese and western instruments.
The event will be broadcast live on 105.9 FM WQXR, streamed at Q2 Music and and available as a live video Webcast through the video player below.
